Moving Forward and Helping Others

Well, I'm glad to say there were no April Fools jokes played on us when we received our monthly email from our agency the first of April....
I was hoping for 10 kids to have been placed, but instead, 4 kids were placed.  Four children is still awesome movement!!  We are getting closer and closer to the top 10 which means closer and closer to receiving a referral.
Keep praying with us that this will be the year!  Truth be told, it's like we've been pregnant for 3 years!  Thankfully there has not literally been a child in my womb this long, but the anticipation is definitely mounting!

In the mean time, we pray, get our ducks in a row and help others who are also in the adoption process....And speaking of which, there are a couple of ways that you can be involved in others' adoptions!  In fact, here are two things we will be involved in the coming weeks and would love to have you join in on the fun!

~1~
Some local folks from the adoption community are hosting a large yard sale to raise money for their adoption April 24-25.  You can donate items to be sold or you can come shop on the two days they'll be doing the sale...or you could do both!  You know you have some stuff at your house that you can donate...and I'm sure they'll have something cool to replace that with ;)
The info can be found on Facebook (or you can get in touch with me and I'll get you the information)

Another way we are supporting the adoption community is by helping with the Both Hands Project on April 25.  James 1:27 says, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress..."  So this project does just that!  Instead of you supporting us to run a 5k or play a golf for the day, you support us as we work on a widows house for the day.  The money is donated to Chosen for Life Ministries and they use 100% of it to give grants to families who are adopting.  In fact, just last year we were recipients of a grant because of this project.  If you have any questions or would like to be more involved, please let me know.  You can also go to Both Hands Project and donate online if you wish to do so.

Alrighty folks, thanks for keeping up with us on this journey.  It's so nice to know that we aren't doing this alone!  Y'all are great!

"Great are the works of the LORD;
they are pondered by all who delight in them.
Glorious and majestic are his deeds,
and his righteousness endures forever."
Psalm 111:2-3
