Jake and I both read through it and made comments and highlighted some things that may need correcting (you know, we need to sound great and all...ha ha). Just sent it back to our case worker (who is so infinitely patient with us) and hope to get the perfected copy soon.
In the end, we are only approved to adopt one child (0-5 years). After really moving towards having two, it was a little disappointing to find out we could only adopt one. We trust our agencies decision in this. They have seen many adoptions and probably know best....but we still are a little bummed. Looks like we may have to start saving our pennies for the next adoption...he he he
Hard to believe it has taken this long to get just the home study done. What a process! I would definitely say that adopting is not for the faint of heart.
Being pregnant is hard. Birthing a child is hard. Raising a child is hard. But nothing is like the inevitable waiting and working so hard towards bringing a child home from another country! And then raising a child that has never met your before...oh man. But HE gives us more grace....
Next up, Immigration and nice big check to the government for fingerprints! Then on to the dossier.....
"I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness
and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High."
